from: WHAT DOES THE DEVIL TAROT CARD REALLY MEAN?
As a long established psychic,I know from experience that there
are two cards that if they show up in a psychic reading are
guaranteed to freak clients out.
The first is the Death card which I will explain in another
article.
The second is the dark ominous Devil card.
Now as many people are superstitious and still believe in the
Devil as an actual being who is opposed to the goodness of God,
it is perfectly understandable that they should feel
uncomfortable at the card's presence in their reading.
Others less inclined to believe in an actual evil physical being
still shift uncomfortably.
So what does this threatening looking card of a horned, tailed
creature carrying a pitchfork really mean?
I have found several meanings but they all tend to focus around
self-destructive behaviour for seemingly incomprehensible
reasons.
Some people are trying to hold on desperately to a love
relationship that it causing them considerable stress.
They may be eaten up with jealousy of their partner and very
mistrustful. Some want revenge for hurt feelings and think about
it constantly.
Other people may have an obsessive desire to repeat the same old
mistakes in their life over and over again. Never learning, and
often shifting the blame onto others as to why their life
hasn't worked out - never being prepared to accept
responsibility.
Then there are those caught up in gambling or maxing out their
credit cards,thinking that some day something will happen to
help them pay off their debts,it never does!
They may also venture into dangerous drinking habits or taking
drugs, to get a temporary high as a way of avoiding reality.
The list goes on and on but always this disregard and lack of
self-respect for their lives and those of their loved ones.
So,the message of The Devil card is about taking a reality
check. It is necessary to face up to yourself and free yourself
from your past and self-destructive behaviour.
Is it really necessary to have all those material possessions or
pursue someone who clearly is not interested in you?
Take a hint,cut your losses while you still can!
Your natural state is meant to be happy and full of wisdom, not
to be miserable and dread getting up in the mornings.
There is always a way forward no matter how desperate your
situation.
